Windies fight back in Dunedin Test

West Indies staged a fight back on Friday, the fourth day of the first Test against New Zealand being played here.

Replying to New Zealand's first innings score of 609 for nine declared, the West Indies had collapsed for 213 in their first innings.

Following on, the visitors replied with a mamoth score of 443 for six at the close of play on the fourth day. The runs came of 139 overs.

The key architects of the second innings response were Darren Bravo with an unbeaten 210 with 30 boundaries, K.A. Edwards with 59, N. Deonarine with 52 and skipper Darren sammy with an unbeaten 44.

The West Indies have taken a 47 run lead in the match and still have four wickets remaining.

For the Kiwis, T G Southee,T A Boult, N Wagner and Corey J Anderson took a wicket each, while spinner I S Sodhi took two wickets.
