Wrong to say there is no internal democracy in AAP: Raghav Chaddha

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chaddha on Monday downplayed reports of a rift in the party, saying it would be a very wrong extrapolation to say that there is no internal democracy in the Arvind Kejriwal-led party

"All these matters will be discussed within the party; it is best that we don't discuss this in the media. There is internal democracy in the party, everybody's advice is accounted for and taken forward. Saying that there is no internal democracy would be a very wrong extrapolation. We hope good decisions will come out of the national executive meeting which is scheduled to be held on the fourth of this month," Chaddha said.

Various sections of the media have reported a rift within the AAP after its internal Lokpal Admiral (Retd) L Ramdas wrote a letter to party chief Arvind Kejriwal as well as party members Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, expressing concern over the growing divide within the party.

Ramdas, in his letter, reportedly sought to draw the attention of the founding members to the importance of 'internal unity' and appealed for a quick resolution.
