Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf has reportedly accused the Board for Cricket Control in India (BCCI) of threatening him for opposing the structural overhaul of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Zaka said that the threats were directed at Pakistan, but the country's stance was clear in the governance issue, adding that anything that went out against the country's interest and cricket would not be supported.

The former PCB chairman said that Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and South Africa didn't have the courage to oppose the highly controversial ICC revamp proposal.

Zaka further said that the dominant trio, or the 'Big Three', seemed to be the big winners after the proposals were approved by the necessary eight out of 10 full members at a hastily convened ICC Executive Board meeting in Singapore, the Dawn reported.

Pakistan Prime Minister and PCB patron Nawaz Sharif had removed Zaka from his post last week, replacing him with Najam Sethi, who now heads a management committee in the Board.
