Months after leaving One Direction, Zayn Malik has confessed that he actually never wanted to be a part of the group.
In a teaser for the celeb's sit-down interview for Apple Music's Beats 1 with Zane Lowe, the 23-year-old singer got candid and said that he thinks he always wanted to go from the first year itself, reports E! Online.
Malik further said that he never really wanted to be in the band and added that he gave it a go because it was there at the time, but later he realised that it wasn't for him because he realised he couldn't put any input in.
The singer also revealed that initially everything was crazy when five of them used to sit in a room to write songs as writing songs from five different perspectives was difficult.
Malik also said in the interview that none of his bandmates actually tried to stop him when he parted his ways from the British-Irish boyband in June last year.
