2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid Pricing announced (US)

Japanese auto major, Nissan has today announced the U.S. pricing for the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid, which is now available at all Nissan dealerships in US. With the new hybrid version, Pathfinder is now available in seven variants. Available both in the 2WD and 4WD options, the hybrid version of the car has been launched at a staring price of $35,110.

Sourcing its power from a supercharged 2.5-litre gasoline engine with a 15 kW electric motor, the hybrid churns out the maximum power output of 250bhp and 330Nm of peak torque. Despite having a smaller engine in comparison to the regular 3.5-litre V6 powered versions, the hybrid model's output figure is just 10bhp lesser. The Lithium-ion battery fits under the 3rd row seat so there is no compromise of passenger seating capacity, 2nd or 3rd row legroom or cargo space. The hybrid system of the car uses a Nissan Intelligent Dual Clutch System that efficiently manages power from both the electric motor and the gas engine.

Fuel economy returned by the new Pathfinder Hybrid is around 11kmpl combined, which makes the new vehicle about 24 percent more fuel efficient than the standard Pathfinder.
