Confirmed: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 to be launched on November 3, 2014

The wait for the most desirable hatch is over as Maruti Suzuki has decided to launch the next generation Alto K10 with AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) gearbox on Monday, 3rd November, 2014. Booking of the most selling hatch has already started with an upfront payment of Rs 10,000. Seeing the huge demand of AMT in Celerio, the automaker has decided to bring the Alto K10 with AMT. The AMT gearbox is boon for small cars as driving in traffic becomes an effortless task with AMT. 

On the exterior, the next gen Alto K10 gets a fresh new face which distinguishes it from the older model. The hatch now gets sleeker grille, swept back headlamps, chrome strip at front grille and new ORVMs. While on the inside it gets dual tone interiors in black and beige, new steering wheel and new glossy black music system. 

Under the hood, the hatch carries forward its trusted 1.0 liter K10 petrol motor which churns a max power of 77.1bhp and 90Nm of max torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission along with an AMT - Automated Manual Transmission similar to the Celerio. The car delivers a fuel economy of 24.07km/l for both manual and AMT. The hatch will also be offered with a CNG variant which carries efficiency figures of 32.36 km/kg.
