Honda Brio based MPV's official sketch revealed

CarDekho has been constantly informing you about Honda's future plans for the Indian car market. The Japanese auto maker will launch four new products in India, which includes next-generation Jazz, new City, a Brio based MPV and a compact SUV. Now, for the first time Honda has revealed an official sketch of the Brio based MPV, called Honda LMPV Concept at Mid Year Media Gathering event held by PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) in Jakarta, Indonesia. The MPV will make its global debut at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2013, which will commence from 19 September 2013.

The Brio-based compact MPV is specifically developed for the Asian auto markets, including India, Indonesia and others. This will be Honda's first product in the fast growing compact MPV segment, which will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy and others in the Indian car market. With Honda's USP of innovative design, excellent drivability, roomy cabin and high safety standards, the new MPV will be made available with a seating capacity of 7 in the configuration of the three rows of seats. It will be powered by a highly fuel efficient 1.5-litre petrol engine.

The Brio based compact MPV is expected to be launched in India by 2014, after the introduction of next-generation Jazz. We believe Honda will showcase the MPV at the coming 2014 Indian Auto Expo. It is also expected that diesel powered Honda MPV will also make its way to the Indian market.
