Honda Cars India continuing its growth rate retailed a total of 16,902 units in February 2015. Last year for the same period, the automaker retailed 14,543 units, thereby registering a growth of 16 per cent. Last month company also exported 1,119 units.
Also during April 2014-Feb 2015, Honda India registered an overall growth of 44 per cent and sold 1,66,366 units compared to 1,15,913 units during the corresponding FY 2013-14. Segment wise, the automaker sold 1,397 units of Brio hatch, while the majority of the sales came from Amaze and City. Carmaker sold 7,163 units of Amaze and 6,505 units of City while the MPV Mobilio contributed with 1,697 units.
Recently, Honda has introduced a new Petrol/ CNG bi-fuel version of its Amaze compact sedan. Christened as Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus, the new variant is available in the cities where the alternative fuel is on offer.
Moreover, the sales of company will further increase once the premium hatchback Jazz is launched. Globally Honda Jazz will be launched in the upcoming Geneva Motor Show and then it will make its way to the Indian showrooms. Powering the Honda Jazz this time is the new 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine churning a power of 98 bhp while the petrol model gets 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine giving an output of 86 bhp.
