Encouraged by the success of Hyundai Grand i10 that the company rolled out in September, the company has now silently added the Asta trim in the model line-up. Launched both in the petrol and diesel engine options, the new trim has been priced at Rs 5.15 lakh and 6.09 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).
At the time of launch, there were four trims- Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta Option, the new trim will now sit below the Asta Option. Difference between the Grand i10 Asta Option and Asta lies in the features, all the optional features like Driver & Passenger airbags, ABS and Diamond Cut alloy wheels that were offered in the Asta Option are removed from the Asta. Other than the aforementioned changes, the car remains all the same including the engines.
As mentioned above, the Asta petrol and diesel continue to derive its power from the 1.2-litre Kappa, and the 1.1-litre U2 diesel engine, capable of churning out the maximum power output of 81.9bhp, 113.8Nm and 70bhp, 160Nm respectively.
And like we mentioned in our last story done on the Grand i10, the company recorded over 355% month-on-month rise in the i10 series sales after launching the Grand i10.
