Hyundai has been releasing the official renderings and sketches of the Hyundai Elantra for quite sometime now but the Korean automaker has now released an official rendering that showcases the interior of the upcoming Elantra. These pictures give us a look into what the new car will look like. Shot of the exteriors were recently leaked online and interior skecth shows that the new car will take its styling cues from Hyundai’s SUV, the new Tucson, which is available in the international markets and was revealed earlier this year. The new car gets rid of the flowing dashboard and center console from the current car and integrates a more rectangular and upright unit.
A large infotainment system seems to be the most prominent feature in the new dashboard and sits on top, flanked on either side by air-con vents, controls for which are placed below the infotainment system. The car also has a cubby hole, which sits below the air-con controls. Other features like the hazard light button is placed between the air-con controls and the infotainment system. It seem as though the cup-holders have been carried forward from the current generation Elantra and sit next to the handbrake. The interiors also feature chrome and silver accents. The new car will hopefully be launched later this year and might flaunt a four-cylinder diesel or a 174bhp 1.6-litre turbo-petrol power-plant, which can be seen in the new Tucson.
