Lamborghini has finally launched the much-awaited Huracan LP 610-4 in India at INR 3.43 Crore(ex.showroom Delhi). The supercar marks the replacement of the most successful Lamborghini and ever- Gallardo.

Taking its styling cues from the elder sibling Aventador, the Huracan gets angular projector headlamps, massive air intakes on the front-bumper and multiple creases to aid aerodynamics. It is built on an all-new architecture, making an extensive use of carbon fiber and aluminum, resulting in a light kerb weight of just 1,422 kgs. The supercar wears Pirelli 20-inch radials with 245/30 cross-section for front while the rear adorns fatter 305/30 R20.

“Today we are very proud to officially launch the new Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 here in India. Automobili Lamborghini continues to set new benchmarks in the luxury super sports car industry with its pure and cutting edge technology and, we expect the Huracán to be well received in this country,” said Mr Sebastien Henry.

“The Huracan is aligned to become a legend in the future. Since its global launch at the Geneva Motor Show, the customer response has been very positive; they are delighted with the new design philosophy. Deliveries of these units are scheduled to begin in October 2014,” said Mr Pavan Shetty, Head – Operations, Lamborghini India.

Powered by the same V10 engine of the Gallardo, the mid-placed engine churns out 610bhp and 560Nm of peak torque. The power is transferred to wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Huracan is capable of getting to 100kph from standstill in just 3.2 seconds and further reach the 200kph mark in just 9.9 seconds. The supercar has a claimed top whack of 325kph. The official emission figures of 290 g/km are pretty impressive for a supercar powered by a V10. Though the Huracan’s standard ground clearance measures 135 mm, it can be raised to 175 mm to tackle speed breakers and bad road sections.

With this price tag, technically Huracan LP 610-4 doesn't have a direct competitor in India as such.
