In a tussle to grab the top position in the luxury car segment, the three German luxury carmakers are launching several new and facelifts in the market. Audi too is planning to revamp its entire lineup and will launch several new products across the globe. We reported earlier that the Ingolstadt, Bavaria based manufacturer is working on an all-new Q7, now the vehicle has been caught on camera during its test rounds.

WorldCarFans has managed to click the vehicle which was partially camouflaged, providing some important information. The next generation Audi Q7 features a more sloping roofline, which makes it look slightly smaller than the current model. Moreover, the SUV has a very low ground clearance. It will have a larger front grille and a new bumper with acceptable air intakes.

The new SUV will ride on Volkswagen's new MLB architecture, which will also be used to develop the Bentley crossover, Lamborghini Urus, new Touareg and Porsche Cayenne. This new platform will help the German luxury carmaker to reduce the weight of new Q7 by up to 363 kg.

The vehicle is expected to be introduced by the end of 2014 or by early 2015. The all-new Audi Q7 is likely to be available with a wide range of engines. It will be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 TFSI engine that churns out a maximum power output of 310bhp, while the larger 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that develops 435bhp. The diesel version of the SUV is likely to feature 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine that develops 258bhp and a 4.2-litre V8 TDI engine producing 385bhp. It is also speculated that the next generation Audi Q7 could also get a plug-in hybrid version, which will get a 3L TDI and an electric motor developing 115bhp.
