Quattroporte Gets a Facelift from Maserati

The flagship model of the Italian luxury car manufacturer Maserati has undergone a facelift with some minor tweaks on the exteriors and subtle changes on the inside. The four door luxury saloon now endorses a new front bumper pattern along with a larger grille. The nose also gets a sharp treatment with chrome inserts that looks quite upmarket now. 

Not only this, it also gets restyled side mirrors and matt black side-skirts. Apart from tweaking the aesthetics of the car, Maserati has also worked on improving the aerodynamics as well. With the introduction of electrically variable air shutter that closes automatically, the car now sports a ten percent increase in aerodynamics on the go. 

Changes can be seen inside the cabin too. The new Quattroporte now houses a redesigned 8.4-inch larger than before touchscreen along with a slick climate control unit underneath. Staying true to its customisation, one can also get a unique Ermenegildo Zenga edition with silk trims on the doors, seats, as well as visors and headliner. A new air quality sensor has also been added to prevent unwanted odour from seeping inside the cabin. The list of new features include an optional driver assistance package, optional surround view camera, adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking and a host of other safety features.      

Going under the hood, there are hardly any changes that are noteworthy. For petrol enthusiasts, one can get a 3.8-litre V8 twin turbo motor along with a milder 3.0-litre V6 engine. While running on diesel, you are bestowed with a single 3.0-litre V6 motor. All of the engines are mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox which offers butter-smooth shifts. 

This facelifted Quattropporte will be available by month end in global markets, while pricing is yet to be disclosed.
