Mahindra is ready with their second attempt in the sub-4m SUV arena with a new platform, engine and with design inputs from Pininfarina - TUV3OO appears to be compelling!
Mahindra Bolero is a successful utility vehicle but the major chunk of its sales comes from the tier 2 & 3 cities and rural markets; It is also economical despite being over 4m in length. But with the TUV300, Mahindra will evade the urban market and majorly the compact SUV space of the country as it will be more premium and powerful than the Bolero while prices are expected to be competitive courtesy to its sub-4m dimensions. The arch rival of the TUV3OO will be the Ford EcoSport in India. Moreover, Mahindra says that it is a global product and will also get an LHD version for export from India. So let us see how Mahindra is eyeing the urban market with the upcoming TUV3OO!
