Datsun is the new affordable-car brand from Nissan, which will have locally manufactured cars and this is one reason why the cost has gone down. The GO will be the first product from the Datsun stable and will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and the Hyundai Eon. This will help Nissan to capture the entry-level segment, helping them to boost their sales.
The GO has a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 64bhp of power. This is a three-pot engine from the Micra that has been detuned for the GO. Space is the biggest USP of this hatchback and Datsun has ensured they are the best in the segment when it comes to space. The GO will be launched in three variants with four body colours and two interior trims. This will be the first product from Datsun not just in India, but on a global level.
