Alstom T&D India gallops to 52-week high on good Q4 outcome

Alstom T&D India jumped 10.39% to Rs 292.75 at 12:31 IST on BSE, after net profit rose 17.3% to Rs 62.24 crore on 19.3% growth in total income to Rs 1313.09 crore in Q4 March 2014 over Q4 March 2013.

The result was announced after market hours on Tuesday, 29 April 2014.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 131.90 points or 0.59% at 22,598.09

On BSE, so far 2.69 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 33,892 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 297 in intraday trade today, 30 April 2014. The stock hit a low of Rs 268.40 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 110 on 6 August 2013.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 29 April 2014, advancing 15.35% compared with the Sensex's 0.56% rise. The scrip also outperformed the market in past one quarter, surging 41.44% as against Sensex's 8.81% rise.

The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 51.21 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

Alstom T&D India's net profit rose 39.1% to Rs 117.02 crore on 12% growth in total income to Rs 3567.05 crore in the year ended 31 March 2014 over the year ended 31 March 2013.

Alstom T & D India's Board of Directors at its meeting held on Tuesday, 29 April 2014, has recommended dividend of Rs 1.80 per share.

Alstom T&D India is a market leader in the Indian power transmission sector.
