Astral Poly Technik gained 0.80% to Rs 1,228.60 after consolidated net profit surged 30.3% to Rs 67.60 crore in Q3 December 2019 (Q3 FY20) as against Rs 51.90 crore reported in Q3 December 2018 (Q3 FY19).
Net sales rose 5.4% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) to Rs 664.10 crore in Q3 FY20. Profit before tax (PBT) soared 16.7% to Rs 87.30 crore Y-o-Y. Current tax expenses slipped 14.2% to Rs 19.40 crore during the period under review. EBITDA grew 22.62% to Rs 119.80 crore in Q3 FY20 from Rs 97.70 crore in Q3 FY19. EBITDA margin stood at 18.40% in Q3 FY20 as against 15.50% in Q3 FY19. The Q3 result was announced after trading hours yesterday, 11 February 2020.
Pipe business revenue rose 6.47% to Rs 520 crore in Q3 FY20 from Rs 488.40 crore in Q3 FY19. Segment EBITDA soared 26.33% to Rs 102.20 crore in Q3 FY20 from Rs 80.90 crore in Q3 FY19.
Adhesive business revenue increased 2.6% to Rs 155.90 crore in Q3 FY20 from Rs 151.90 crore in Q3 FY19. Segment EBITDA jumped 14% to Rs 18.70 crore in Q3 FY20 from Rs 16.40 crore in Q3 FY19.
Astral Poly Technik and its subsidiaries are engaged in the business of manufacturing and trading of pipes, fittings and adhesive solutions. Its product range includes pipe category for plumbing, industrial, drainage, fire protection, agriculture, electrical conduit and ancillary, and adhesive category for construction, maintenance, wood care and automotive.
