Australian share market finished session higher on Friday, 16 March 2018, snapping a three-session losing streak and shrugging off a mixed lead from Wall Street overnight, after retail giant Wesfarmers announced plans to spin off its Coles supermarket division. The S&P/ASX 200 index closed 0.5% higher or 28.6 points at 5949.4, but finished the week down 0.2%.
