Australia ASX200 gains 0.6% on US jobs data

Australian share market finished session higher on Monday, 12 March 2018, as risk appetite buying boosted up on tracking positive lead from Wall Street on Friday. Most of ASX sectors inclined, with financials and materials being notable gainers on news Australia could be exempt from new US trade tariffs on steel and aluminium imports.. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index rose 32 points, or 0.6%, to 5996 while the All Ordinaries index moved up 0.5%, or 32 points, at 6101.
