Berger Paints tumbles about 16% in seven days

Berger Paints India fell 3.85% to Rs 446.60, extending losses for seventh trading session.

Shares of the paint maker have fallen 15.92% in seven sessions from its recent closing high of Rs 531.20 recorded on 27 April 2020.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 228 points or 0.72% to 31458.02.

On the BSE, 66,151 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 42,258 shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit a high of Rs 470.5 and a low of Rs 440.65 so far during the day.

The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 597.45 on 05 Feb 2020. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 292.2 on 16 May 2019.

On a consolidated basis, the company's net profit rose 36.92% to Rs 182.35 crore on 4.90% increase in net sales to Rs 1,695.87 crore in Q3 December 2019 over Q3 December 2018.

Berger Paints is engaged in retail, decorative and industrial painting solutions.
