Bharti Airtel drops after bulk deal

Bharti Airtel fell 3.63% to Rs 404.05 at 15:24 IST on BSE after a bulk deal of 3.09 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 406.90 per share at 15:03 IST on BSE today, 9 April 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 156.30 points or 0.54% to 28,864.05

On BSE, so far 7.97 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 3.48 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock was volatile. The stock hit high of Rs 420.30 and low of Rs 404.05 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 421.90 yesterday, 8 April 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 304 on 9 May 2014.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 8 April 2015, rising 20.51% compared with 2.52% decline in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 16.09% as against Sensex's 5.25% rise.

The large-cap telecom firm has equity capital of Rs 1998.70 crore. Face value per share is Rs 5.

Bharti Airtel's consolidated net profit jumped 135.4% to Rs 1436.50 crore on 5.8% growth in net sales to Rs 23217.10 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q3 December 2013.
