China Market end softer

The Mainland China equity market finished session lower after erasing intraday gains late afternoon on Monday, 16 October 2017, with tech stocks leading losses after disappointing profit forecasts. Sector performance was mixed, with banking stocks posted strong gains, but resources and property shares fell. The Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.4% to 3,378.47. The Shenzhen Composite Index and the start-up board index ChiNext fell 1.5% and 2.3% to trade at 2,005.95 and 1,882.69 respectively.
