China: Market falls to two-year low on ramifications of Trump's latest tariff offensive

China share market finished session at lowest level in two-year on Tuesday, 19 June 2018, as risk aversion selloff triggered on concerned about the ramifications of U.S. President Donald Trump targeting China for additional tariffs on goods. About 1,000 stocks tumbled by the daily 10% limit on mainland Chinese bourses as Chinese investors dumped stocks across the board. The Shanghai composite fell 3.82% to close below the 3,000 mark at 2,906.43. The smaller Shenzhen composite sank 5.77% to 1,594.05. Meanwhile the CSI 300, which tracks blue chips listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen, dropped by 3.53%, or 132.31 points, to 3,621.13.
