Coal offtake drops 20% in Sep
Coal India announced the provisional production and offtake performance of the company and its subsidiaries for the month of September 2019 and for the period April - September 2019.Coal production stood at 30.77 million tonnes in September 2019 compared to 40.25 million tonnes in September 2018, recording a decline of 23.5%. For the period April-September 2019, coal production declined 6% to 241.01 million tonnes compared to corresponding period of previous year.
Coal offtake stood at 35.18 million tonnes in September 2019 compared to 43.98 million tonnes in September 2018, recording a decline of 20%. For the period April-September 2019, coal offtake declined 5.2% to 275.75 million tonnes compared to corresponding period of previous year.
