Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals was trading at Rs 131 at 10:34 IST on BSE after its debut on the stock exchanges today, 13 May 2016.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 226.22 points, or 0.88%, to 25,564.The stock debuted at Rs 126.20. On BSE, so far 3.45 lakh shares were traded in the counter. The stock hit a high of Rs 132.50 and a low of Rs 126.20 so far during the day.
Crompton Greaves demerged its consumer products business on a going concern basis into a wholly-owned subsidiary Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (CGCEL). As per the demerger scheme, CGCEL had issued and allotted one fully paid-up equity share of Rs 2 each for every one equity share of Rs 2 each held in Crompton Greaves.
