Emami gained 3.22% to Rs 1,157 at 10:36 IST on BSE after the company scheduled a board meeting on 3 May 2018 to recommend issue of bonus shares to the equity shareholders.
The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 25 April 2018.On the BSE, 23,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 6,673 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 1,204 and a low of Rs 1,152.05 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 1,428 on 10 January 2018 and a 52-week low of Rs 1,003 on 19 March 2018.
On a consolidated basis, Emami's net profit rose 9.6% to Rs 147.08 crore on 6% growth in net sales to Rs 756.64 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.
