Net inflow of Rs 372.31 crore on 22 July 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 372.31 crore on Tuesday, 22 July 2014, compared with net inflow of Rs 244.48 crore on Monday, 21 July 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 372.31 crore on 22 July 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3450.09 crore and gross sales of Rs 3077.78 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 372.25 crore into the secondary equity market on 22 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3443.83 crore and gross sales of Rs 3071.58 crore. On tha that day, the S&P BSE Sensex rose 310.63 points or 1.21% to settle at 26,025.80, its highest closing level since 7 July 2014.
There was a net inflow of Rs 0.06 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 22 July 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 6.26 crore and gross sales of Rs 6.20 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 11960.24 crore in this month so far (till 22 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 13990.75 crore in June 2014.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 71755.40 crore in this calendar year so far (till 22 July 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113136 crore in 2013 calendar year.
