Net outflow of Rs 171.98 crore on 15 February 2018

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 171.98 crore into the secondary equity markets on 15 February 2018, lower than net outflow of Rs 611.80 crore on 14 February 2018. On 15 February 2018, the Sensex rose 141.52 points or 0.41% to settle at 34,297.47.

The net outflow of Rs 171.98 crore from the secondary equity markets on 15 February 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4377.03 crore and gross sales of Rs 4549.01 crore.

There was an inflow of Rs 37.45 crore into the 'primary market & others' category on 15 February 2018, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 38.86 crore and gross sales of Rs 1.41 crore.

FPIs sold stocks worth a net Rs 7766.69 crore into the secondary equity markets in February 2018 so far till 15 February 2018. FPIs had bought stocks worth a net Rs 13635.44 crore from the secondary equity markets in January 2018.

FPIs bought stocks worth a net Rs 922.41 crore from the primary market & others' category in February 2018 so far till 15 February 2018. FPIs bought stocks worth a net Rs 146.02 crore from the primary market & others' category in January 2018.

FPIs bought stocks worth a net Rs 5868.75 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far till 15 February 2018. FPIs bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.

FPIs bought stocks worth a net Rs 1068.43 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2018 so far till 15 February 2018. FPIs bought stocks worth a net Rs 41485.09 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2017.
