Godrej Properties drops after large bulk deal

Godrej Properties fell 1.41% to Rs 245 at 10:45 IST on BSE after 1.51% equity changed hands in a bulk deal on the BSE today, 17 December 2014.

A bulk deal of 30.22 lakh shares was executed on the Godrej Properties scrip at Rs 251.70 per share in opening trade on the BSE today, 17 December 2014.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 181.38 points, or 0.68%, to 26,600.06

Bulk deal boosted volume on the Godrej Properties scrip. On BSE, so far 30.54 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 77,221 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 256.50 and a low of Rs 241.35 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 283 on 8 December 2014. The stock hit a record low of Rs 153.90 on 30 January 2014.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 16 December 2014, falling 0.28% compared with the Sensex's 4.51% fall. The stock also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 6.42% as against Sensex's 1.09% rise.

The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 99.67 crore. Face value per share is Rs 5.

On a consolidated basis, Godrej Properties' net profit rose 36.1% to Rs 46.60 crore on 4.2% fall in total income to Rs 306.90 crore in Q2 September 2014 over Q2 September 2013.
