Graphite India updates on levy of antidumping duty on Chinese exports

Graphite India announced that Ministry of Finance (Dept of Revenue), Govt of India vide notification Customs (ADD) dated 13 February 2015, has imposed antidumping duty on graphite electrodes (all diameters) originating in or exported from People's Republic of China. The amount of antidumping duty ranges from USD 278.19 per MT to USD 922.03 per MT, depending upon the Chinese producer / exporter.

The aforesaid levy is expected to provide a level playing field in the domestic market vis-a-vis imports from China.
