HDFC Bank October futures trade at discount

Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises

The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 10,220.05, a premium of 12.35 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10,207.70 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 7.07 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 6.99 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 22.85 points or 0.22% to settle at 10,207.70, its highest closing level since 18 October 2017.

HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, State Bank of India and Vedanta were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. HDFC Bank October 2017 futures traded at 1865, at a discount from spot closing of 1866.55. Tata Steel October 2017 futures traded at 720.60, at a premium over spot closing of 718.95.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises October 2017 futures traded at 525, at a premium over spot closing of 524.35. SBI October 2017 futures traded at 254.70, at a discount from spot closing of 254.90. Vedanta October 2017 futures traded at 334.10, at a premium over spot closing of 333.55.

The October 2017 F&O contracts expire on 26 October 2017.
