Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 10,256, a small premium of 21.55 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10,234.45 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment fell to Rs 6.4 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 6.83 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index advanced 3.60 points or 0.04% to settle at 10,234.45, a record closing high.
Axis Bank, Federal Bank, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel and Vedanta were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Axis Bank October 2017 futures traded at 513.10, at a premium over spot closing of 511.50. Federal Bank October 2017 futures traded at 126.30, at a premium over spot closing of 126.
Tata Steel October 2017 futures traded at 714.65, at a premium over spot closing of 712.30. Bharti Airtel October 2017 futures traded at 466.75, at a premium over spot closing of 465. Vedanta October 2017 futures traded at 334.80, at a premium over spot closing of 334.70.
The October 2017 F&O contracts expire on 26 October 2017.
