Hero MotoCorp edges higher after unveiling Xpulse Concept motorcycle

Hero MotoCorp rose 0.31% to Rs 3,693 at 10:18 IIST on BSE after the company unveiled the Xpulse Concept motorcycle as a world premier at the EICMA in Milan, Italy, on 7 November 2017.

The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 7 November 2017.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 27.77 points or 0.08% at 33,398.53.

On the BSE, 993 shares were traded on the counter so far as against average daily volumes of 25,419 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 3,715 and a low of Rs 3,681.10 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 4,200 on 23 August 2017. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 2,844.40 on 17 November 2016.

The large-cap company has equity capital of Rs 39.94 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

An Adventure Concept bike, the Xpulse Concept provides a glimpse into Hero's plans to expand further into higher engine capacity segments. The company's motorsport division, the Hero MotoSports Team Rally, also presented its plan for the upcoming Dakar Rally 2018, including its new motorcycle, which the pilots will ride at the Rally.

Hero MotoCorp's net profit rose 0.6% to Rs 1010.49 crore on 7.3% growth in net sales to Rs 8361.99 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.

Hero MotoCorp is the world's largest manufacturer of two-wheelers.
