Hong Kong Hang Seng gains 0.53%

Hong Kong stock market closed higher for a fifth consecutive session on Wednesday, 06 June 2018, as risk appetite buying spurred by tracking positive lead from Wall Street overnight and reports that China and the United States were offering fresh concession in trade talks. Market gains were led by tech and financial plays. The Hang Seng Index rose 0.53%, or 165.65 points, to 31,259.10, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 0.2% or 24.26 points to 12,283.58. Turnover decreased to HK$97.4 billion from HK$106 billion on Tuesday.
