MHA advises concerned states for precautionary measures
On the basis of reports released on 19 September from Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there is weather forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy falls at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and sub-Himalayan West Bengal during the next two days.The IMD has also made a weather forecast of heavy to very heavy rain at a few and isolated places in Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next two days.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has advised the concerned state governments to keep a close watch, monitor the situation in their areas regularly and take appropriate precautionary measures.
