Information Technology shares fall

Information Technology stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 65.89 points or 0.44% at 14921.24 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 3.29%), AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (down 2.42%),Infosys Ltd (down 2.41%),Cigniti Technologies Ltd (down 2.23%),Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (down 1.79%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were D-Link India Ltd (down 1.74%), Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (down 1.68%), Subex Ltd (down 1.6%), Birlasoft Ltd (down 1.21%), and HCL Technologies Ltd (down 0.98%).

On the other hand, Tanla Solutions Ltd (up 4.96%), HCL Infosystems Ltd (up 3.58%), and NELCO Ltd (up 2.8%) moved up.

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 158.03 or 0.39% at 40570.6.

The Nifty 50 index was up 48.5 points or 0.41% at 11958.65.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 58.46 points or 0.44% at 13205.07.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 24.11 points or 0.52% at 4659.16.

On BSE,1253 shares were trading in green, 965 were trading in red and 165 were unchanged.
