Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 14.94%), Datamatics Global Services Ltd (down 14.24%),CESC Ventures Ltd (down 12.79%),eClerx Services Ltd (down 12.21%),Ramco Systems Ltd (down 11.97%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Infibeam Avenues Ltd (down 10.41%), HCL Infosystems Ltd (down 9.98%), Expleo Solutions Ltd (down 9.63%), D-Link India Ltd (down 8.89%), and Aptech Ltd (down 8.72%).
On the other hand, Zensar Technologies Ltd (up 2.63%), and Subex Ltd (up 0.36%) turned up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 2137.66 or 5.69% at 35438.96.
The Nifty 50 index was down 620.7 points or 5.65% at 10368.75.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 643.34 points or 4.83% at 12686.44.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 218.54 points or 4.72% at 4409.8.
On BSE,252 shares were trading in green, 2162 were trading in red and 152 were unchanged.
