Information Technology stocks gain

Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index increasing 89.23 points or 0.58% at 15423.03 at 09:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 12.89%), Aptech Ltd (up 3.99%),eClerx Services Ltd (up 3.24%),Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (up 3.16%),TVS Electronics Ltd (up 2.25%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Expleo Solutions Ltd (up 1.81%), Cyient Ltd (up 1.51%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd (up 1.45%), 3i Infotech Ltd (up 1.04%), and HCL Technologies Ltd (up 1.03%).

On the other hand, Firstsource Solutions Ltd (down 1.54%), Mindtree Ltd (down 1.54%), and Hexaware Technologies Ltd (down 1.42%) turned lower.

At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 7.74 or 0.02% at 38615.96.

The Nifty 50 index was up 1.95 points or 0.02% at 11305.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 56.61 points or 0.41% at 13717.02.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 28.03 points or 0.59% at 4757.69.

On BSE,564 shares were trading in green, 889 were trading in red and 66 were unchanged.
