Information Technology stocks tumble

Information Technology stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index decreasing 269.15 points or 1.67% at 15825.77 at 13:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Expleo Solutions Ltd (down 5.94%), Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (down 4.76%),Ramco Systems Ltd (down 4.06%),AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (down 3.54%),D-Link India Ltd (down 3.47%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were TVS Electronics Ltd (down 3.15%), Mphasis Ltd (down 3.12%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 2.74%), Zen Technologies Ltd (down 2.22%), and Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (down 1.87%).

On the other hand, Subex Ltd (up 4.65%), Birlasoft Ltd (up 4.17%), and NELCO Ltd (up 2.44%) turned up.

At 13:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 48.61 or 0.12% at 39784.14.

The Nifty 50 index was up 22.15 points or 0.19% at 11684.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 19.15 points or 0.13% at 14363.85.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 44.2 points or 0.9% at 4968.96.

On BSE,889 shares were trading in green, 1387 were trading in red and 154 were unchanged.
