Jaiprakash Power Ventures leads gainers in 'A' group

Power generation firm Jaiprakash Power Ventures surged 16.04% to Rs 10.20. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. The stock hit a record low of Rs 8.55 in intraday today, 2 August 2013. The company unveils Q1 results on 12 August 2013.

IRB Infrastructure Developers spurted 13.76% to Rs 61.60 on bargain hunting after the stock crashed 43.97% in the preceding ten trading sessions to Rs 54.15 on 1 August 2013 from a recent high of Rs 96.65 on 18 July 2013. The stock hit a record low of Rs 51.90 in intraday today, 2 August 2013. The company unveils Q1 results on 8 August 2013. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Pharmaceutical company Stride Arcolab galloped 11.61% to Rs 694.70. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. Strides Arcolab announced during trading hours today, 2 August 2013, that Badree Komandur has been elevated to the position of Chief Financial Officer of the company with effect from 1 August 2013. Prior to this elevation, Badree held the position of Executive Vice President - Finance & Company Secretary in the company.

Gold jewellery and watches maker Titan Industries jumped 8.55% to Rs 281.70 after a foreign brokerage upgraded the stock to buy from hold after the company reported strong Q1 June 2013 results. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Titan Industries' net profit rose 16.9% to Rs 182.48 crore on 42% growth in sales income to Rs 3087.79 crore in Q1 June 2013 over Q1 June 2012. The Q1 result was announced during trading hours on Thursday, 1 August 2013. Shares of Titan fell 1.46% to Rs 259.50 on that day.

Diversified Max India climbed 6.22% to Rs 199.95. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company unveils Q1 results on 13 August 2013.
