Kitex Garments shed 4.22% to Rs 748.45 at 15:00 IST on BSE on profit booking after jumping 17.36% in previous two trading sessions.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 559.39 points, or 2.17%, to 25,205.39.
On BSE, so far 38,359 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 36,963 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 797 and a low of Rs 734.90 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 1,070 on 15 July 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 325 on 4 September 2014.
With reference to the increase in volume, Kitex Garments has clarified during market hours today, 4 September 2015, that there has not been any specific development in any area of its activities which warranted a disclosure of any such price sensitive information.
Kitex Garments' net profit rose 10.6% to Rs 15.97 crore on 9.3% growth in total income to Rs 114.98 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.
