In economic data, U.S. retail sales growth rebounded in October, rising 0.3% after a 0.3% decline in September. But U.S. industrial output fell by the most in 17 months in October, down 0.8%.
Back home,key equity barometers ended with minor gains on Friday, mirroring gains in other Asian stock markets. The barometer index, the BSE Sensex, rose 70.21 points or 0.17% to close at a 40,356.69. The Nifty 50 index rose 23.20 points or 0.20% to close at a 11,895.30.
The trading activity on that day showed that the foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 1,008.37 crore on Friday, 15 November 2019, as per provisional data released by the stock exchanges. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 537.74 crore on Friday, 15 November 2019, as per provisional data.
