For the month of June 2016
Maruti Suzuki India announced the sales for month of June 2016.Total sales stood at 98840 units in June 2016 compared to 114756 units in June 2015, recording a decline of 13.9%.
These included domestic sales of 92133 units and exports of 6707 units in June 2016, recording a decline of 10.2% and 44.7% respectively compared to sales in June 2015.
For the 1st quarter ended June 2016, total sales stood at 348443 units compared to 341329 units in the corresponding period of previous year, recording a growth of 2.1%.
The growth in sales in the quarter is despite the disruption in production during June 2016, due to the unfortunate incident of fire at Subros, a key vendor of the Company. The Company expects to recover the production loss during the course of the year.
