Shares of three hospitality and two tourism companies were mixed on BSE after Minister of Tourism said that Foreign Tourist Arrivals rose 5.3% to 7.30 lakh in March 2015 over March 2014.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 88.74 points, or 0.31%, to 28,796.47
Among hotel stocks, Hotel Leela Ventures (up 5.85%) and EIH (up 0.18%) rose. Indian Hotels fell 2.58%.
Among tourism stocks, Thomas Cook (India) gained 3.07%. Cox & Kings fell 0.44%.
Ministry of Tourism today, 10 April 2015 said that Foreign Exchange Earnings (FEEs) rose 2.9% to Rs 10451 crore in March 2015 over March 2014. FEEs in $ terms rose 0.7% to $1.674 billion in March 2015 over March 2014.
