Muthoot Finance leads gainers in 'A' group

Wockhardt, Apollo Tyres, DLF and Shriram City Union Finance are among the other gainers.

Muthoot Finance spurted 5.43% to Rs 145.65 and topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.

Wockhardt surged 3.42% to Rs 413.20 and was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company before market hours today, 10 February 2014 reported 28.84% fall in consolidated net profit to Rs 304.45 crore on 8% rise in total income to Rs 1428.58 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.

Apollo Tyres jumped 3.38% to Rs 117.80 after hitting a record high of Rs 119.60 in intraday trade today, 10 February 2014. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.

DLF gained 2.94% to Rs 142 and was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On Sunday, 9 February 2014, DLF said it has completed the deal to sell its luxury hospitality chain Amanresorts for $358 million.

DLF on Sunday, 9 February 2014 said that its 100% step down subsidiary DLF Global Hospitality (DGHL) has completed the sale of 100% equity stake in Silverlink Resorts (SRL), the owner of Amanresorts to Aman Resorts Group (ARGL), a joint venture between Peak Hotels & Resorts Group (PHRL) and Mr. Adrian Zecha, the founder of Amanresorts for an enterprise value of $358 million. The sale has been in the form of management buyout. DLF Global Hospitality had purchased 100% equity in Amanresorts in 2007 from a group of investors. The deal excludes the iconic Lodhi Hotel in Delhi which shall remain a part of DLF. The transaction is a part of DLF's objective of divesting its non core assets, the company said in a statement.

Shriram City Union Finance rose 2.93% to Rs 1003.60 and was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
