Net AUM of mutual fund declines 2.3% to Rs 27.23 lakh crore end February 2020

Equity funds witness outflows of Rs 10730 crore in February 2020

The net Assets under Management (AUM) of the mutual fund (MF) industry declined by 2.3% (by Rs 0.63 lakh crore) to Rs 27.23 lakh crore in February 2020 over January 2020.

The average net AUM of the industry grew by 0.3% (by Rs 0.10 lakh crore) to Rs 28.29 lakh crore in February 2020 compared with January 2020.

Net outflows in the industry stood at Rs 0.02 lakh crore in February 2020, against net inflows of Rs 1.20 lakh crore in January 2020.

The overall mutual fund folios increased 0.3% to 888.4 lakh end February 2020 over 885.3 lakh end January 2020.

AUM of the Income/Debt Oriented Schemes declined 1.3% (by Rs 18707 crore) to Rs 13.73 lakh crore in February 2020 over January 2020. Income/Debt Oriented Schemes registered a net outflows of Rs 28129 crore in February 2020. Net inflows in Income/Debt Oriented Schemes totaled to Rs 156135 crore in April-February 2020. The number of folios in the Income/Debt Oriented Schemes declined 7.7% to 72.42 lakh end February 2020.

AUM of the Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes declined 4.2% (by Rs 34642 crore) to Rs 7.89 lakh crore in February 2020 over January 2020. Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 10730 crore in February 2020. Net inflows in Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes totaled to Rs 70112 crore in April-February 2020. The number of folios in the Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes increased 1.1% to 636.98 lakh end February 2020.

AUM of the Hybrid Schemes dipped 4.2% (by Rs 14897 crore) to Rs 3.43 lakh crore in February 2020 over January 2020. Hybrid Schemes registered a net outflow of Rs 2006 crore in February 2020. Net inflows in Hybrid Schemes totaled to Rs 12693 crore in April-February 2020. The number of folios in the Hybrid Schemes increased 0.1% to 95.44 lakh end February 2020.

AUM of the Solution Oriented Schemes declined 2.8% (by Rs 533 crore) to Rs 0.19 lakh crore in February 2020 over January 2020. Solution Oriented Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 74 crore in February 2020. Net inflows in Solution Oriented Schemes totaled to Rs 2385 crore in April-February 2020. The number of folios in the Solution Oriented Schemes were flat at 54.36 lakh end February 2020.

AUM of the Other Schemes increased 3.6% (by Rs 7012 crore) to Rs 1.99 lakh crore in February 2020 over January 2020. Meanwhile, Other Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 18449 crore in February 2020. Net inflows in Other Schemes totaled to Rs 60397 crore in April-February 2020. The number of folios in the Hybrid Schemes increased 7.8% to 29.11 lakh end February 2020.
