Turnover on NSE's F&O segment declines
The Nifty April 2018 futures traded at 10270.05, at a premium of 58.25 points over the Nifty's spot closing of 10211.80 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 3.79 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 14.45 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 98.10 points or 0.97% to settle at 10,211.80.
ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, Escorts and Axis Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. ICICI Bank April 2018 futures traded at 263.50, at a premium over spot closing of 262.40. HDFC Bank April 2018 futures traded at 1,937, at a premium over spot closing of 1931.90.
State Bank of India April 2018 futures traded at 247.45, at a premium over spot closing of 246. Escorts April 2018 futures traded at 888, at a premium over spot closing of 886. Axis Bank April 2018 futures traded at 500, at a premium over spot closing of 499.30.
The April 2018 F&O contracts expire on 26 April 2018.
