Turnover jumps
Nifty December 2013 futures were at 6381.90, at a premium of 18 points over spot closing of 6363.90. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 155852.25 crore from Rs 96395.87 crore on Friday, 6 December 2013.
ICICI Bank December 2013 futures were at 1197.95, at a premium over spot closing of 1194.80.
L&T December 2013 futures were at 1140, near spot closing of 1139.55.
State Bank of India December 2013 futures were at 1896, at a premium over spot closing of 1885.30.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty surged 104 points or 1.66% to settle at 6,363.90, a record closing high.
The December 2013 derivatives contracts expire on 26 December 2013
