Turnover rises
Nifty July 2014 futures were at 7660, at a premium of 35.60 points over spot closing of 7624.40. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 217658.19 crore from Rs 194872.44 crore on Tuesday, 15 July 2014.
ICICI Bank July 2014 futures were at 1468, at a premium over spot closing of 1465.
IDFC July 2014 futures were at 161.50, at a discount compared to spot closing of 163.40.
State Bank of India July 2014 futures were at 2582.85, at a premium over spot closing of 2573.05.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty surged 97.75 points or 1.3% to settle at 7,624.40, its highest closing level since 7 July 2014.
The July 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 31 July 2014.
