Turnover surges
Nifty September 2013 futures were at 6142.80, at a premium of 27.25 points over spot closing of 6115.55. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment jumped to Rs 222957.39 crore from Rs 103407.90 crore on Wednesday, 18 September 2013.
Reliance Communications September 2013 futures were at 161, near spot closing of 160.40.
Yes Bank September 2013 futures were at 390.30, near spot closing of 388.85.
State Bank of India September 2013 futures were at 1815, at a premium over spot closing of 1808.45.
In the spot market, the CNX Nifty surged 216.10 points or 3.66% to settle at 6,115.55, its highest closing level since 30 May 2013.
The September 2013 derivatives contracts expire on 26 September 2013.
